How Much Does a Probiotic Cost per Day? Our Prices, Bottle by Bottle
Updated Oct 18, 2026 · 7 sources
On October 18, 2026, Physician’s Choice probiotics cost $0.58 to $2.00 a day one-time on physicianschoice.com, and $0.49 to $1.70 on subscription.1 Each is a bottle’s price divided by the days it lasts at label directions. The NIH Office of Dietary Supplements gives 1 billion and 10 billion CFUs as label examples and says higher counts alone do not necessarily mean greater health benefits.4
Key points
- Cost per day is the price divided by the days a bottle lasts: its servings per container over the servings you take each day; FDA requires Servings Per Container on a supplement label unless the net quantity statement already gives it.6
- On October 18, 2026, every probiotic in our table cost less per day on subscription than at its one-time price on physicianschoice.com, by $0.09 to $0.30 a day.1
- On October 18, 2026, a 60-count bottle of 60 Billion Probiotic or Women’s Probiotic came to $0.76 a day one-time, against $0.98 for 30 count.1
- Serving size moves it too: Probiotic Gummies list 2 gummies per serving, so a 60-gummy bottle lasts 30 days.1

The math. Days = servings per container ÷ servings per day; cost per day = price ÷ days, rounded to the nearest cent (half a cent rounds up). Example, 60 Billion Probiotic, 30 count, October 18, 2026 one-time price: $29.38 ÷ 30 days = $0.979, or $0.98. Subscribe prices are each product’s plan price for the delivery interval that matches one bottle; 60 Billion Probiotic is the only product here whose plan price changes with the interval. Single bottles only.

How do you compare probiotic prices?
Compare the cost per day, not the price per bottle. Bottles hold different numbers of servings, and one serving can be more than one capsule or gummy. NIST’s Office of Weights and Measures calls unit pricing one of the most effective tools shoppers have for comparing prices, especially when products come in different pack sizes.7
- Read two label lines. FDA rules require a supplement label to list Serving Size and Servings Per Container, though Servings Per Container can be left off when the net quantity statement already gives the same number.6
- Check what one serving is. FDA defines a supplement serving as the most the label recommends per eating occasion; on our Probiotic Gummies label, that is 2 gummies.1,6
- Divide the price by the days the bottle lasts, as in the note under our table.
- Use your real daily amount. The NIH Office of Dietary Supplements (ODS) points out that the serving size is the maker’s suggestion, and that your health care provider may settle on another amount for you, which changes your cost per day.5
Is Subscribe and Save cheaper?
Yes, for every probiotic in our table on October 18, 2026: each subscribe price on physicianschoice.com was below the one-time price, by $0.09 to $0.30 a day.1 Our Subscribe & Save page says subscribers save on every order, not just the first one.2 Our help center adds that you can change a subscription’s frequency to any timeframe in months.3
What is the best probiotic under $30?
Price alone does not answer it. Check the points you would check at any price: cost per day, CFUs per serving, serving size, servings per container and each strain’s full name.4,6 ODS notes that a label may give the CFU count at manufacture or at the expiration or use-by date, and that some experts prefer the latter.4
ODS also says probiotics are named by genus, species and strain, and ties any health benefit a product has to both which strains it holds and how many CFUs.4 Our label checklist on what is the best probiotic to take covers each point.
On October 18, 2026, these Physician’s Choice probiotics were under $30 a bottle at one-time prices on physicianschoice.com: 60 Billion Probiotic, 30 count ($29.38); Women’s Probiotic, 30 count ($29.38); Prebiotic Probiotic ($28.20); Probiotic Gummies, 60 count ($19.99); Probiotic Gummies, 90 count ($25.97); and Kids Probiotic Chewable ($24.17), for children 4 and older.1 On subscription on October 18, 2026, Men’s Probiotic ($29.97, every 30 days) and Vaginal Probiotic ($25.56, every 30 days) were under $30 as well.1
Before you buy: who should check with a healthcare provider first
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, are seriously ill, or have a weakened immune system, consult your healthcare provider before taking a probiotic or any other dietary supplement.
Our Kids line includes a Kids Chewable Probiotic, Fiber Gummies, and a Probiotic + Fiber Powder. These are the only Physician’s Choice products we recommend for children under 18, and each should be used according to its labeled age range and directions. Always consult your child’s pediatrician or healthcare provider before starting a new supplement routine.
If you have known allergies, review the product’s ingredient list and allergen information and consult your healthcare provider before purchasing or using it. Most of our products are formulated without the top 9 common allergens, but ingredients vary by product.
