When I was first introduced into ashwagandha, it sounded like something from another world. What does it do for you? But then I learned more about the supplement and found comfort in knowing it was something I could take to help me with my personal stress, anxiety and most of all be calm in the storm of motherhood!

As parents, we’re all in this together. We’re all doing the best we can.

Parenting was hard enough before COVID-19

We're all part of the same motherhood club. We all have many things to balance in our lives whether it’s work, family, spouse, children, never-ending household chores, managing everyone’s appointments and activities, and even picking up the additional job of “teacher” while schools are currently closed.

As soon as I introduced ashwagandha into my daily routine, I noticed an immediate feeling of calmness, and reduced levels of stress and anxiety. My mind has more clarity and I can react in a more calm state of mind to stressful situations that initially would rattle me. We all know stress can build up in many ways and there are several ways one can reduce stress such as: Deep breathing, meditation, going for walks, working out, engaging in hobbies, participating in self-care, getting enough good sleep, having a well-balanced diet and having a glass of wine at the end of a long day. However, sometimes even with all these helpful tips, it may not always be enough. That’s when ashwagandha has come to save me!

I keep an ashwagandha supplement bottle available at all possible “mom” locations, including by my kitchen sink, bathroom sink, night table, purse, diaper bag, center console of my car, gym bag and office desk. You can’t go wrong to have a dose of ashwagandha nearby to save you from any stressful moments. I couldn’t survive weekend birthday parties with the kids without it!

All in this together

For all the mothers out there, mothers-to-be, and those who one day decide to join this magical club, I can’t wait to welcome you with open arms. It’s a big commitment, but one you won’t regret. We don’t always agree, but that’s the beauty of it—we share a bond that connects us all, no matter who we are or where we come from. We’re still struggling and we’re still questioning ourselves, and we’re still scared. We are all learning along the way and no one is perfect.

We’re all in this together. We’re all doing the best we can. So the next time you want to grab a nice glass of wine after a long day of work and evening with the kids, think of taking an ashwagandha to ease your mood and bring you to the calm state of happiness.
